Lapis lived a normal life, they weren't rich nor were they poor, they weren't privileged but still lived a comfortable life thanks to their loving parents. They weren't the smartest student but they always did their best and though the outcome wasn't always what they had hoped for, their parents were still there to support them. As years go by they decided to explore new things, discover more places and learn through their voyages and their parents couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments.They liked to try new things even the things they weren't good at, but the part they liked the most was becoming a barista. This was ironic because they don't even drink coffee often, it sounded easy at first. Grinding beans, adding flavor, I mean how hard could it be? they thought but the actual reality quickly overwhelmed them.Their manager would scold them often and she would shrug it off with an awkward laugh. they spent most of their time keeping their head down, scribbling on their notepad carelessly on what they should approve and taking notes every time they need to make a beverage for another customer. Powder, beans, and milk would often spill on the floor. Though the manager doubted their abilities he still has hope that they'll improve, their determined face says it all.As of today they still work as a Barista and even part-time as a model, they even improved quite a bit though mistakes do still happen here and there. They still go out with some friends from time to time and enjoys spending their time with them. Though being a barista doesn't exactly pay the bills it was their route to happiness. Something about the simple gesture of making a beverage and seeing other people's preferences about it made them want to learn more and something about their smiles as they enjoyed the drink that they made was like a reward to them. Their monthly was enough to take care of their parents and also their own needs. Who knows maybe they might set up a coffee shop one day.
